When you talk to other people, and the religion topic comes up, what do you think might happen? If you tell the person you're a Muslim, they might think you're a turban-wearing, camel-riding fool, who has bombs in his back pockets. While some people are afraid to tell their religion, there is one guy, Muhammad, who is not afraid to tell his true origins...

Old and withered, a broken man
His days of youth no more.
Blow after blow and a heart so ill;
A timid warrior, an internal war.
A tall form, now stooped and worn
A dashing smile gone wilted.
His crippled soul, a chornic pain;
A destiny readily accepted

Because we're always asked a question through e-mail, we wanted to get the best answer. The best way would be to let our community answer it since we want it to be a collective response. Besides, that's what we are, right? Muslims in England! Please submit your answer below at the comments section. This week's question:
So here's a random thought.
I think a lot of Muslim marriages are slapped together on a metaphorical production line. As they whizz down the line, the different parts are primed and trimmed, they get their coat of spray paint and eventually they're stuck together. They mostly work, but maybe for a long time people are not sure if the end product will stand the test of time. Sometimes they only work because they have to. After a while the cheap coat of shiny spray paint peels off revealing the true colours of the constituent parts; they're not always the prettiest underneath.

The situation in Haiti is getting worse by the minute unless we step into help them. If you haven't heard by now, Haiti was hit by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake, an earthquake the country hasn't witnessed in 200 years. Initial death toll was placed at 100,000, but is gradually rising to 200,000 people who could be dead. There's people who are desperate for food, clothing, and shelter.
This is our time to help these people in need. Even worse, the majority of the Haitian captial Port-au-Prince has been completely obliterated, including the Presidential Palace. This is a test from Allah (swt) for the people of Haiti, but even more for us because it tests our ability to help our brothers and sisters who are struggling to hold onto their lives.

It was extremely shocking and saddening to see the victims of racial abuse namely the Romanian population in Belfast flee from their homes. The weekend saw a total of 110 Romanians forced to leave their homes after they were targeted and attacked by a race hate gang which claimed to be a neo- Nazi organisation.
The racial tensions had been simmering for some time, but finally erupted due to a possible consequence of the recent recession, namely unemployment, and the result frightened families, who huddled under blankets escaping the attacks... Continue reading "Combating racism"...
Abu Darda (RA) states, "There is a shiner for everything and for hearts it is the rememberance of Allah (SWT)." (Mundhiri, at-targhib wat-tarhib)

Slowly but surely a modest smile appears on my face as I sit and remember having innumerable arguments with my mother regarding how my brother and I were treated so differently. ‘Why is he allowed out after dark and I’m not? Why is he allowed to travel to Italy with his friends and I’m not? Why is he allowed to wear what he wants and I’m not?’ It wasn’t fair. My mother’s vague answers didn’t convince me, but it was not long before I began to appreciate that I wasn’t un-equal, but simply different mentally, physically, hormonally, and definitely emotionally.
Ten months ago Allah (swt) bestowed upon me a beautiful baby girl.
I find that for some reason parents are more concerned about the security of their daughters than they are about their sons. This is not something I totally agree with, but fourteen months ago when my husband and I received the news that we would be having a baby girl, reality struck and even before she was born our nights were spent discussing the dos and don’ts of how we would bring her up. One thing that stuck in our minds was the beautiful hadith where the Prophet (saw) said "Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach adulthood - he and I will come (together) on the Day of Resurrection - and he interlaced his fingers (meaning in Paradise)." (Reported by Muslim). However, living in a Western society full of materialism and distraction makes this task a great deal. More difficult for the modern Muslim parent.

Round about 15 minutes ago, we've heard from some people that this website claims that grandson of this "great" personality is converting to Islam... Ahmadiyya Founder's grandson is converting to Islam.
What is going on here? Is Mr. Qadiyani wrong or does the grandson not realize what he's doing?
