Leverhulme Trust survey into religious and spiritual capital 2009

Dr Chris Baker and Greg Smith from the William Temple Foundation in Manchester are conducting research for the Leverhulme Trust into the contribution that faith groups make to society in the UK. The aim of this research is to allow faith groups to express both what they do, but also why they make the contributions they do, in their own words. We hope that this research will be a contribution to helping non-faith based partners understand the importance of spiritual values and religious beliefs when it comes to working alongside faith communities in public life. We would really appreciate the participation of the muslimsinengland on-line community in our research.

Our on-line survey, which we would like you to consider completing, has around 100 statements (collected from focus groups from different religions) which we ask you to rate your agreement or disagreement on with a 1 - 5 scale rating. Please note: You have to be 18 or over and resident in the UK. Please click this link to our survey on the Survey Monkey website.

We think it should take about 15 - 20 minutes max to complete. Your anonymity is guaranteed, and if you don't want to answer a question please pass on to the next one, although we would like you to respond to as many questions as you feel able. For further info or questions please contact chris.baker@wtf.org.uk or gregwtf@maister-smith.fsnet.co.uk or ring 0161 249 2502.

With sincere thanks in advance - Chris and Greg
