Terrorism Haram! 600 pages explain it by Pakistani leader Tahir-ul-Qadri.
This week a fatwa, or religious ruling, has been issued by one of the eminent scholars of our time, Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. A fatwa that is is unique and one of a kind, a 600-page fatwa condeming Al-Qaeda and the terrorists that perform their vicious acts based on the Qur'an and Islam.
The anti-terrorism fatwa by renowned Muslim scholar Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri pulled no punches, declaring that terrorism was “haraam,” or forbidden by the Quran, and that suicide bombers would be rewarded not by 72 virgins in heaven, as many terrorist recruiters promise, but with a suite in hell.
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, known as Shaykh-ul-Islam by most of his followers, is the founder and owner of one of the most fastest growing organizations known as Minhaj-ul-Quran, meaning the way or path of the Quran. The organization is established in 90 countries, and condemns terrorism and suicide bombings in the name of Islam.
“Until now, scholars who were condemning terrorism were conditional and qualified what they said,” Qadri said in a phone interview, noting that his 600-page ruling left no room for interpretation. “I didn’t leave a single, minor aspect that, in the mind of radicals or extremists, can take them to the direction of martyrdom.”
In a display of official support for Mr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s teachings, his news conference was attended by members of Parliament and representatives of London’s Metropolitan Police. He spoke in both English and Arabic, and an English translation of the fatwa is expected in the coming weeks, said people who attended the event.
In Washington, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley welcomed the fatwa, saying it is important that “Muslims themselves make their own judgment about the vision that al Qaeda and [Osama] bin Laden have propagated.”
Other major media sources have also mentioned this fatwa, such as CNN, ABCNews, The Washington Times, and many other established media. Some experts have stated that his fatwa is a "significant blow" to terrorists.
I've personally met Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at the annual event of Al-Hidayah, a religious gathering for the youth regarding contemporary issues around the world. His message, work, and even the atmosphere around him is unbelievable. It was the first time I've met a person like him, and the lectures that he gives are mind-blowing. Although the lecture lasts for more than 2 hours (usually), he has everyone engrossed into his lectures. He knows how to keep the youth engaged with their religion. Al-Hidayah will be occurring again this year, and I definitely plan to attend.
The 600-page fatwa can be found here in English.
What do you think about this fatwa? Do you think it will help against the suicide bombings and killings in the name of Islam?

There will be conflicts though. Definitely because of his Asian background... Hope that he's got Arabs back up
The fatwa is important as a means of bringing to light what Muslims should already know, and what non-Muslims may not know.
Unfortunately I'm not so sure it will change the mindset of the Muslims who are in dire NEED to know this..but hopefully it will reach those seeking the true Islamic, Prophetic lifestyle.
Love the fact that this actually made it to the widestream media. Allah Hu Akbar!
