Question: Are you allowed to read the Holy Qur'an without Wudhu?.. I mean like this, because you are not touching it?

Thank you for your question. The majority opinion is that it is permitted to recite the Qur'an without Wudu, in such cases as above. Although, it is far superior to be in Wudu whenever you recite the Qur'an.

Does that make it not a 'Fardh'?

Yes, it is not a fard when reciting without touching, rather it is a 'Mustahab', a recommended act that you have Wudu. And as already stated, it is always best to have wudu.

Note however, if you are in a state of major impurity then it is fard upon you to first make ghusl/wudu first.

One may argue that, the QuranFlash website substitutes an actual Qur'anic text for an interactive version. Instead of turning pages with your touch and hand, your doing it with your mouse or touch-screen. So essentially your doing the same as normal?

Here, both are still different and whatever the matter, it is always best to have a Wudu.

Im not sure about reading Quran on my lap top when i watch movies aswel on it. I think it is not respetful. The feeling is not the same as when i pick up the Holy Book. Are we just abusing God's words by not storing it in a clean place. Is the Lap top/internet clean. If it is only coded stuff does it come from a pure realm. I am not against tecnology but say if Allah doesnt like us switching from youtube to the quran using the same screen. The Jews respect the torah more than we respect the quran. They use a yad (like a sacred pen) to touch the torah. Something to think about.
